2 1/2 cups all purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
2 sticks unsalted butter, softened, plus extra for pan
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
2 large eggs
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 {12 oz.} package chocolate chips
1 cup chopped nuts

Preheat your oven to 375 F. Sift together the flour, baking soda, & salt. Set aside. With a mixer, cream together the butter & sugars. Beat in the eggs & vanilla, then gradually add the flour mixture & stir just until smooth. Fold in the chocolate chips & nuts. Use whatever kind of nuts~or a combination~that strikes your fancy.
Spread half of the batter in a buttered 12" deep~dish pizza pan & bake for 20~25 minutes, until a cake tester inserted in the center comes out clean. Once cool, remove pizza from pan & set aside. Re~butter the pan, fill with remaining half of mixture, and bake as above. Serve each pizza in wedges with whipped cream & chocolate syrup for a fancy look. Store without any topping, tightly wrapped at room temperature.
