3/4 to 1 1/4 c. sugar
3 T. flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. salt
6 to 7 apples, sliced
1 T. butter
unbaked pie crust

French Apple Pie
3/4 to 1 1/4 c. sugar
3 T. flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. salt
6 to 7 apples, sliced
Topping: 1/2 c. flour
1/2 c. packed brown sugar
1/2 c. chopped pecans
1/4 c. butter
unbaked pie shell

Directions:
Directions:
Mix together and put in pie crust, make sure to poke a few little holes on the bottom first. Dot apple mixture with the butter. Then lay the top pie crust over apples and make a couple little slits to vent.
French Apple Pie: Same as above but omit butter and top pie crust. Combine topping ingredients until cumbly. Sprinkle over apples and bake for 40-50 minutes on lower rack.
