c. shortening
1 c. sugar
c. light or dark molasses
1 egg
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
tsp. cloves
tsp. ginger
tsp. salt

Directions:
Directions:
Mix all ingredients together and then refrigerate for a half an hour. Form into 1 inch balls and roll in sugar. Place on greased cookie sheets 2 inches apart. Bake at 375 for 8-10 minutes.
