1 lb dry navy beans
6 cups water
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1/2 cup chopped onions
1/2 cup molasses
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup salt pork, cubed

Directions:
Directions:
Wash and sort beans. Combine beans, water, salt and let stand overnight. Or combine beans, salt and water in large saucepan. Bring to a boil and cook 2 minutes. Remove from heat, cover and let stand for one hour. After soaking, cook beans until tender, about 1 1/2 - 2 hours, adding water if needed. Drain, reserving liquid. Mix with remaining ingredients. Pour into 2 quart casserole with tight fitting lid. Add enough bean liquid to cover beans. Bake covered at 300 degrees for about 3 1/2 - 4 hours, stirring occasionally. Add boiling water as needed during baking.
