3 cups self-rising flour
1 tsp cinnamon
dash of nutmeg
1/2 tsp salt
2 heaping cups of fresh apples, chopped
1 cup broken pecans
2 cups sugar
1 1/4 cup cooking oil
3 eggs
1/2 tsp almond flavoring (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Mix flour, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt. Add apples and pecans and stir to coat. In separate bowl, mix sugar, oil, eggs, and almond flavoring. Add dry ingredients and hand mix thoroughly. Bake at 325 in a greased tube pan for 1 hour and 20 minutes.
