1 c. sugar,
1/2 c. shortening,
2 eggs,
3 bananas, mashed,
1 Tbs. sour milk,
1 tsp. baking soda,
1 3/4 c. flour,
1 pinch salt

Directions:
Directions:
Blend shortening and sugar. Beat in eggs. Mix flour, baking soda and salt. Add alternately with mashed bananas and milk. Add vanilla or cinnamon flavoring if desired along with 1 tsp. grated lemon or orange rind. Bake in greased loaf pan at 350 for about 1 hour. Cool in pan five minutes and then cool completely on wire rack.
