1 cup chopped dates
1 cup chopped pecans
2 cup coconut
3 cup chopped tart apples
2 cup sugar
3 cup flour
1 tsp soda
1 tsp salt
2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp vanilla
3 large eggs
1 1/2 cup crisco or wesson oil
Frosting:
1 cup brown sugar
1 stick margarine

Directions:
Directions:
Cream oil and sugar, add eggs, then dry ingredients. Add flavoring, nuts, coconut, dates and chopped apples. Let cool in pan 10 minutes.
Frosting:
Melt the two above items on medium heat. Then add 1/4 cup milk. Bring to full boil. Add 1 tsp vanilla for 3 minutes. Pour over cake while frosting still hot.
