1/2 cup shortening
2 large eggs
3/4 tsp baking powder
1/4 cup buttermilk
1 cup mashed bananas
1 1/2 cup sugar
2 cups sifted flour
3/4 tsp soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla

Directions:

Mix altogether and bake in loaf pan in moderate oven. (350)

Frost with cream cheese frosting.

This is an amish recipe that I received. I bake it in a jell-roll pan at 350 for about 20-25 minutes.
