1 cup fresh or frozen strawberries
1 box white cake mix
1/2 cup oil
1/2 cup strawberry juice or water
3 Tbsp flour
4 eggs, added one at a time
1 (3 oz) pkg strawberry jello

Icing:
1 stick butter
1 pound powdered sugar
1/2 cup strawberries

Directions:

Combine all ingredients. Blend well. Bake in two 9-inch pans at 350 for 25-35 minutes.

For Icing: Beat butter and sugar until smooth. Add strawberries. Spread on cake. Cake should be refrigerated.

This used to be my birthday cake when I was about 6 years old. Mother would make paper dolls playing ring-around-the-rosie and put them on the layered cake. It's now my daughter's favorite and I've made it for her birthday for about the last ten years. And from time to time, I make it for cousin Brenda Sharp's birthday as well.
