1 loaf French bread
olive oil
kosher salt
fresh ground black pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Cut the bread into 1" slices. Baste both side lightly with olive oil and season with salt and pepper. Cut into cubes and place in a single layer on baking sheets. Bake at 400F, turning once until brwoned and crisp. Cool completely.

You can also infuse the olive oil with fresh garlic for a day and create a garlic crouton.
