2 bottles red wine, 750 ml each
8 cloves
2 oranges
3 Tbsp. brown sugar
2 inches fresh ginger, peeled and chopped
1 cinnamon stick
1/4 tsp. freshly grated nutmeg

Directions:
Directions:
Pour the wine into a large saucepan. Insert the cloves in the oranges, then cut each orange into quarters. Add to the pan, together with the sugar, ginger, cinnamon stick, and nutmeg. Heat the mixture to a simmering point and simmer for 8 to 10 minutes. Serve in hot goblets or wine glasses, distributing the pieces of orange among them.
