3/4 cup shortening
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 egg
1/4 cup water
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup flour
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. soda
3 cups oatmeal (uncooked)

Directions:
Directions:
Beat shortening, sugars, egg, water and vanilla. Add flour, salt soda. Stir in oats. Drop by teaspoon-full on greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 350º for 12-15 minutes
