2 C flour
1 t cream of tarter
1/2 t baking soda
1/2 t salt
3/4 C sugar
1/2 t salad oil
2 eggs
1 t vanilla

Good creamy icing:
1/2 C butter, soften
4 C confectioner sugar
1 t vanilla
3-4 t milk

Directions:

Mix ingredients together. Roll into balls. Chill overnight. Bake on a greased cookie sheet at 350* for about 8 minutes. For icing, mix ingredients together. Spread on cookies.

These are the very favorite Christmas cookies. We make dozens and dozens. All the kids and grandkids get involved. We have cookie icing parties. It takes a while to ice all those cookies and I am cleaning up sprinkles for days!
