6 medium apples (4 cups) 1/4 cup water 1 tsp cinnamon 3/4 cup brown sugar 1/2 cup flour 4 TB butter
Peel apples and slice very thin and place in a greased flat baking dish. Sprinkle with cinnamon and water. Blend sugar, flour and butter to crumbly stage and sprinkle over apples. Bake in a 400º oven until apples are tender (about 40 minutes).
