2 c, sugar 2 c. almonds or nuts
1 lb. butter 1 tsp. vanilla
2 Tbs. corn syrup (light) 8oz. milk chocolate
6 Tbs. water

Directions:
Directions:
Melt butter over low heat. Add sugar gradually; stirring constantly. Blend in water,
1 c. almonds and syrup. Put in candy thermometer. Stir occasionally until it reaches 300 deg.
(After the temp. reaches 200 deg. stir fairly often to prevent sticking Remove from heat when it is slightly scorched then stir in vanilla. Quickly pour out onto a small buttered cooky sheet. Cool slightly and mark ino squares with a sharp knife.
Melt chocolate over hot water. When candy is completely cool spread with chocolate and sprikle on remaining nuts.
