2 T. flour 1/4 t. salt dash pepper 1 1/2 lbs. round steak 2 T. shortening 1 can French onion soup 1/2 c. ketchup 1 med. green pepper cut in 8 strips
Combine flour and seasonings; pound into meat with meat hammer. In skillet, brown meat in shortening; pour off fat; add soup and ketchup; cover; cook over low heat 1 hour. Add green peppers; cook 20 minutes more, until meat is tender. Serve with mashed potatoes.
