1 c. cornmeal
1 c. flour
4 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 Tbsp. sugar
1 c. milk
1 egg
1 Tbsp vegetable oil

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 425. Melt shortening in 8" pan.

In a medium bowl, combine cornmeal, flour, baking powder and salt. Add milk and egg; mix until smooth. Pour into prepared pan.

Bake about 20 minutes or until golden brown.
