1/2 c. water 2 c. sugar 1 c. white corn syrup 2 c. raw peanuts 2 scant tsp. baking soda 2 T. butter 1 tsp. vanilla
Bring water, sugar and corn syrup to a boil. Continue boiling until mixture reaches hard ball stage (260º). Add peanuts and continue to cook on low heat until mixture turns light brown. Add soda, butter and vanilla; stir rapidly and pour on buttered cookie sheet. When cool, break in pieces and store in airtight container.
