COOKIE:
2 c. brown sugar
1 c. margarine
2 eggs
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
2 1/2 c. flour
3/4 c. rolled oats
TOPPING:
1 can Eagle brand sweetened condensed milk
1 package chocolate chips (6 oz.) or 1 heaping cup chocolate chips
1 tsp. vanilla
2 T. margarine

This is a two part bar cookie.
COOKIE: Cream sugar, margarine and eggs. Add the salt, baking powder, flour and rolled oats. Spread 3/4 cookie mixture in a lightly greased jelly-roll pan. Set aside the reserved cookie mixture.
TOPPING: Combine in medium sauce pan condensed milk, chocolate chips and margarine. Stir over low heat until melted. Add vanilla. Pour topping over cookie mixture evenly. Dot remaining cookie mixture on top and swirl with knife to marble.
Bake at 350 degree for 25 minutes. Let cool before cutting.
