1 c. butter, softened
3/4 c. cornstarch
1/3 c. powdered sugar
1 c. flour
3 oz. cream cheese
1 c. powdered sugar
1 t. vanilla extract
3 drops green food coloring

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter, slowly add cornstarch and 1/3 cup powdered sugar; beat until fluffy. Stir in flour with wooden spoon (very soft dough). Cover and chill 1 hour. Preheat oven to 350. Roll dough into 24 - 1 inch balls. Place 1-1/2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet. Press a slight indentation into the top of each cookie. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes until firm, NOT brown. Cool on a cooling rack. In a bowl, mix cream cheese, 1 cup powdered sugar, vanilla and food coloring. Frost cookies. Leave out until frosting dries.

A very soft, fragile cookie. Handle gently while transferring to a cooling rack. These are well worth the effort!
