1/4 c. butter
1 c. chopped onions
1 t. garlic
2 T. flour
2 c. half and half
3 c. chicken broth
1/2 t. nutmeg
3/4 t. salt
1/2 t. pepper
1/4 t. cayenne pepper
2 T. Dijon mustard
3 c. broccoli, chopped
3/4 lb. sharp Cheddar cheese, grated

Directions:
Directions:
Melt butter in large sauce pan; add onions and saute until tender. Add garlic and saute 30 seconds. Add flour, stir for 2 minutes. Whisk in half and half and chicken broth. Bring to boil, reduce to simmer. Add cheese, seasonings, mustard and broccoli. Simmer until broccoli is tender and flavors are well blended.
