2 quarts green beans
1/2 cup water from the beans
3 Tbsp sugar
5 Tbsp vinegar
1 large onion, chopped
8 slices bacon

Directions:
Directions:
Fry bacon. Drain. Discard half of fat. Add beans, water, sugar, onion and vinegar. Cook out all of the water. Add crumbled bacon just before serving.
