1 pkg dry yeast
1/4 cup warm water
1 1/2 cup milk
3 TB butter
1 1/2 TB sugar
4 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup whole wheat flour
Canola oil

Directions:
Directions:
Dissolve yeast in 1/4 cup warm water. Combine milk, butter, salt and sugar. Heat to 110 and add dissolved yeast. Beat in 3 cups flour and 1 cup whole wheat flour. Mix and then add 1/2 cup more flour. Knead and add more flour as needed. Place in a greased bowl and let rise for 1 hour. Knead and roll out 1/8 inch. Fry in canola oil for less than 2 minutes.
Serve with powdered sugar sprinkled on each hot sopapilla, or with dribbled honey.
