3 oz parmesan cheese- room temp
2 cloves of garlic
2 c. tightly packed fresh basil leaves
1/4 c pine nuts
1 t. salt
1/2 c olive oil

Directions:
Directions:
In food processor. Mince garlic, add basil, nuts, salt and pulse about 10 minutes. Add cheese and pulse to combine. Let machine run continuously as you pour the oil through small feed tube in a slow steady stream. Taste for seasoning. Makes about 1 cup of pesto for 1 lb. of pasta

can multiply ingredients for extra to freeze.
For creamy pesto can add whole milk or cream till get the consistency you want. Serve over tortellini add chicken.
