Ingredients:  
1 cup flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
3/4 cup sugar
2 Tbls cocoa
2 Tbls melted shortening
1/2 cup milk
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Mix all ingredients together and put in an ungreased 8x8 inch pan. Combine and pour over the batter:
4 Tbls cocoa
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 3/4 very hot water

Bake at 350 for 35-45 minutes. Top pieces of cake with hot fudge sauce from the bottom of pan, Serve with ice cream or whipped cream.
