3/4 c. flour
1/2 c. cocoa
1 c. egg whites (8 large eggs)
1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
1 1/4 c. vanilla
1/4 tsp salt
1 1/4 c. sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375. Stir together flour, sugar and cocoa. Beat egg whites with salt, cream of tartar and vanilla until soft peaks form; gradually fold in the flour and cocoa mixture about 1/4 at a time until blended. Turn into an ungreased 9" angel cake pan and zigzag a large rubber spatula through batter (this removes air bubbles). Bake for 30 minutes. Invert pan and let hang until completely cool before removing from pan.
