Salad:
1 small head of lettuce, chopped
1/2 C. diced green pepper
1/2 C. chopped celery
1/2 C. diced onion
1 pkg. frozen peas, thawed, but not cooked
1 can sliced water chestnuts
1 C. shredded cheddar cheese
8 slices crisp, crumbled bacon
Dressing:
2 C. mayonnaise
2 Tbsp. sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Layer salad ingredients in the order they are listed. Refrigerate overnight. Just before serving mix the dressing ingredients together, toss well and serve.
