2 cups all - purpose flour
2 cups sugar
1 cup water
1 stick butter or margarine
1 cup Wesson oil
6 tbsp. cocoa
2 eggs
1/2 cup buttermilk
dash of salt
1 tsp. soda

Mix flour and sugar together and set aside. In a pan add water, butter or margarine, oil, and cocoa and boil for 1 minute, stirring constantly. Pour into flour and sugar mixture and mix well. Add eggs and mix well.
Mix buttermilk, salt, and soda together and add to batter. Mix well. Pour into greased and floured 9x13 inch pan and bake at 325 for about 30 minutes.
When cake comes out of oven pour icing on top. See the following recipe.
