2 lb ground chuck
1/2 c chopped onion
2 slices moistened loaf bread
2 eggs
1/2 c ketchup
1&1/2 t salt
1/4 t pepper

Filling
1 c rice
1 green bell pepper sliced large pieces
2 c canned chopped tomatoes (16 oz can)
1/2 c water
1&1/2 t salt
1 small onion chopped
1/4 t pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Mix the first five ingredients and 1&1/2 t salt and 1/4 t pepper until well blended. Grease an 11 1/2 inch iron skillet with 1 t shortening and press and shape the above mixture in the pan to form the meat crust. Mix the remaining ingredients and put into the meat crust. Cover with lid or foil and bake at 350 for about 1& 1/2 hours. Check every 30 minutes. DO NOT STIR. May need to add a little water. Cut and serve as a pie.
