Directions:
Peel carrots and potatoes. Cut carrots into 1" pieces and quarter potatoes. In a 2 or 3 qt. sauce pan cover them with water and bring to a boil. Simmer about 15 mins. covered. You can start carrots first as they take a little longer to cook.

In the meantime make hamburger patties. Cook them on medium high heat in butter You want some crispy pieces of meat in pan so you can make gravy. :)

After potatoes and carrots are done, drain the water off of them. Return to saucepan. Add hunk of butter and about 1/2 c. milk which has been heated. Mash the potatoes and carrots and then add the butter and milk. When patties are done add about 1 Tbls. flour to pan and a little more butter, stir well and then add about 3/4 c. water. Cook until thickened. If too thick, add a little more water. Add salt and pepper, and a little Kitchen Bouquet. THERE IS YOUR DINNER!!
