3/4 cup cold Butter
1 pkg (18 1/4 oz) chocolate cake mix
1 egg,slightly beaten
1 pkg (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
1 cup confectioners sugar
4 cups whipping topping, divided
3 cups cold milk
2 pkg (3.9 oz each) instant choc pudding mix
1/2 cup chocolate chips

In a large bowl, cut the butter into the cake mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Add the egg and mix well. Press into a greased 9 x 13 x 2 in baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 15-18 minutes or until set. Cool completely in pan on a wire rack.
In a small bowl, beat cream cheese on medium speed until fluffy. Add confectioners sugar and beat until smooth. Fold in 1 cup of whipped topping. Carefully spread over crust; cover and refrigerate until set.
In a large bowl, combine the milk and pudding mix by whisking with a wire whisk for 2 minutes; let stand for 5 minutes or until slightly thickened. Spread over the cream cheese layer. Top with remaining whipped topping.
Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before cutting. Garnish with chocolate chips over the top. Store leftovers in the refrigerator.
