3 eggs
1 cup sugar
2 cups milk
1 1/2 tsp cornstarch
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1/3 cup rice, cooked and cooled
Raisins (optional)
Nutmeg

Directions:
Directions:
In a medium bowl, beat the eggs until light and lemon-colored. Add the sugar and mix well. Add the milk, cornstarch, and vanilla and mix well. Add the cooked rice and raisins. Pour into a buttered 1 1/2 quart baking dish and sprinkle the top with nutmeg. Place the baking dish in a pan of hot water about 1-inch deep. Bake at 325 for 60 minutes, or until the custard is set.
