2 cups cornmeal
1/4 cup flour
1/2 tsp soda
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1 egg
Buttermilk

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 425. Mix all dry ingredients together. Add enough buttermilk to make mixture easy to pour (about 2/3 to 3/4 cup) Pour in iron skillet that has been greased and heated in oven.

My grandmother always made the best cornbread. Of course she never used a recipe. I watched her many times and she finally wrote down this recipe.
