1 German Chocolate cake mix 1 -14 oz. pkg caramels 1/2 cup evaporated milk 3/4 cup butter or margarine
Mix cake according to instructions. Pour half of mixture into 9X13 pan; bake at 350º While cake is baking mix sauce over med-low heat. Melt caramels in evaporated milk and melted butter. Pour carmel mixture over baked cake. Sprinkle 2 cups chopped nuts and 1 cup chocolate chips. Spread remaining cake batter over carmel & nuts. Bake 20-35 minutes longer.
