1 1/2 cups water 1 cup oatmeal 1 cup brown sugar 1 cup white sugar 1 stick margarine 2 eggs 1 1/2 cups flour 1 tsp. soda 1 tsp. cinnamon 1/2 tsp. salt
Boil the water and pour over oatmeal - set aside. Mix brown sugar, white sugar, margarine and eggs together until creamy. Add dry ingredients and beat well. Add oatmeal and beat about 1 minute. Pour into a 9 X 12 inch greased and floured pan. Bake at 350º for 40 minutes or until toothpick inserted in middle comes out clean. Ice with following recipe:
