Ingredients:
In a sturdy pan combine:

2 squares of butter
1 c. white karo syrup
1 can eagle brand condensed milk
2 c. brown sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Stir constantly on medium-high heat until ingredients come to a boil. Once boiling turn heat down to med and stir for another
15 minutes. Make sure to stir mixture fast and scrap the bottom of the pan while stirring to prevent over cooked flakes.
Pour caramel on a buttered cookie sheet. For thicker caramels pour into a buttered cake pan.

(this recipe also makes a wonderful caramel topping for ice cream, remove from heat once all the sugar is dissolved and 3-5 minutes after it starts to boil.)
