1/4 tsp Cream of Tartar
1 1/2 C Sugar
1 Lemon
2 tsp Cold Water
1 C Whipped Cream

Directions:
Directions:
Meringue: Beat egg whites well until peaks form. Add tartar and beat until glossy. Add 1 C sugar small amounts as a time and beat well. Spread into greased pie tin and bake at 275 for 1 hour and then let Cool. Filling:Mix 4 Egg Yolks, 1/2 C sugar, rind and juice of lemon. Cook and stir till thick and let cool. Spread 1/2 of filling on meringue. Top with whipped cream. Add the last half of the filling. Refrigerate overnight.
