1 C Water 1 C Sugar 1/4 C Red-hot Candies 9 med tart Apples (Cortland or MacIntosh), peeled and quartered
Place apples and water in 5 qt. sauce pan. Cover and cook over medium-low heat for 20 minutes or until tender. Mash the apples. Add sugar and candies. Cook until candies are dissolved. Remove from heat and let cool. Refrigerate until serving.
