4 cups Swans Down Cake Flour (do not sift)
3 cups sugar
1/2 lb butter
1 pint whipping creme
3/4 cup milk
2 tsp baking powder
6 large eggs
pinch of salt
vanilla or lemon flavoring

Directions:
Directions:
Beat butter and sugar until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, blending well after each egg. Add flour in medium amounts, alternating with milk and creme. Add baking powder and a pinch of salt, blend well. Add flavoring (vanilla or lemon).

Bake at 325 for 45 minutes in cold oven (do not preheat).
