"The tradition of Italian cooking is that of the matriarch. This is the cooking of grandma. She didn't waste time thinking too much about the celery. She got the best celery she could and then she dealt with it."--Mario Batali

1 lbs ground pork Sausage can also use links browned & cut in thirds
8 slices bread

4 eggs
2 cups milk

1 can cream of mushroom soup

Directions:
Brown the sausage, cube the bread into a 9 x 13 pan which has been sprayed with Pam. Then sprinkle cheese and then the sausage. Mix the eggs, milk and dry mustard together and pour over the top. Refrigerate over night. In the morning mix the soup and vermouth together and poor over the top. (I use cup milk instead of the vermouth). Cover and bake in 350 oven for 30 minutes, remove cover and continue to bake an additional 30 minutes. I do not always prepare it and refrigerate it over night either.
