1 c. sugar
1 c. water
1/8 t. cinnamon
1/8 t. nutmeg
2 T. butter
2 pre-made puff pastry sheets
6 3-in. MacIntosh apples

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375. Prepare sauce: combine sugar, water and spices in small sauce pan; bring to boil; add butter to melt; remove from heat and set aside. Prepare apples: flour surface and lay frozen pastry dough flat to defrost; cut into 6x6-inch squares; peel and core apples; cut in half and place 2 halves in center of dough square; fill with sugar; sprinkle generously with cinnamon and nutmeg and place a pat of butter on top. Bring up all four sides and pinch dough together. Place all 6 dumplings in a greased 9x13 glass pan. Bake 40 minutes. Baste and sprinkle with sugar during baking.
