1 c. sugar
1/2 lb. butter
1 T. vanilla
3 T. water
1 c. chocolate chips
1/2 c. chopped pecans, optional

Directions:
Directions:
In medium saucepan, cook sugar, butter, vanilla and water at low for 11 minutes. Turn heat up and boil until temperature reaches 300, stirring constantly. It will turn caramel in color. Pour into 12" pizza pan, or medium cookie sheet with sides. Spread around in an even layer. Sprinkle chocolate chips on top and let set for a couple minutes. Spread around with knife when melted and sprinkle with chopped nuts if desired. Let set and break into pieces.
