4 quarts popped corn
1 stick margarine
1 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup white karo syrup
1/2 tsp. salt
1 cup raw peanuts
1/4 tsp. soda

Directions:
Directions:
Put margarine, sugar, syrup and salt in a saucepan and bring to a rapid boil and add peanuts. Turn heat down and boil for 5 minutes, don't stir. Add soda (it will foam up) and mix well. Pour over popped corn. Mix until all of the corn is covered. Pour onto cookie sheet and bake for 1 hour at 250. Stir every 15 minutes. Cool slightly and store in airtight container.

I use an old-fashioned popcorn popper. I've never used microwave popcorn. And I do not use butter.
