1 package dry yeast
1 cup warm milk
1/2 cup honey
1 tablespoon salt
2 tablespoons shortening
1 cup hot scalded milk
3-1/2 cup whole wheat flour
2-1/2 cup all purpose flour

Directions:
Directions:
Softened yeast in warm water. Combine honey, salt, shortening and hot milk. Stir to melt shortening. Cool to lukewarm. Add softened yeast. Add flour. Mix to form stiff dough. Knead on a floured surface until smooth - about 10 minutes. Let rise until doubled in size about 2 to 2-1/2 hours. Shape into rolls or into 2 loaves and let rise. Bake at 350 50 to 60 minutes.
