Pick over and wash 1 pint navy beans, soak overnight in water with 1/2 tsp soda. Sink 1/4 pound salt pork into them rind uppermost and one tbsp. salt, 1 tsp pepper one onion (whole)two Tbsp. molasses and 1/2 tsp musard. Bake all day add water as necessary. Heat half hour uncover and let brown.
