2 sticks butter
2 eggs
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
3 c. flour
2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. ginger
3 tsp. soda
4 bananas, mashed
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. cloves
1/4 c. nuts (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 300.

Cream butter and sugar in large mixing bowl. Add eggs and beat well. Add remaining ingredients and blend well. Divide batter into two well greased loaf pans. Bake at 300 for 60 - 80 minutes or until center no longer looks gooey.
