1/2 c. butter, softened
2/3 c. sugar
2/3 c. brown sugar, packed
1 egg
1/4 c. apple juice
2 c. flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 c. finely chopped peeled tart apple
1 c. chopped walnuts

Frosting:
1/4 c. butter, softened
3 c. powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
3-4 T. apple juice

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugars. Beat in egg and apple juice. Combine the dry ingredients; gradually add to the creamed mixture. Fold in apple and walnuts. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto greased cookie sheets. Bake at 375 for 12-14 minutes or until golden brown.

Frosting:
Cream butter, sugar, vanilla and enough apple juice to get spreading consistency. Frost cooled cookies.
