C. butter or margarine (softened)
1 C. sugar
2 eggs
1 C. mashed, ripe banana
(about 2 medium bananas)
C. milk
1 tsp. vanilla extract
2 C. flour
C. baking cocoa
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 C. mini chocolate chips
C. chopped nuts, optional
Sugar to sprinkle on top of batter

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar in mixing bowl. Add eggs, bananas, milk, and vanilla. Combine the flour, cocoa, baking soda, and salt; add to the banana mixture and mix just until combined. Fold in mini chocolate chips and nuts. Transfer to a 9 x 5 x 3 inch loaf pan that has been greased and dusted with sugar. Top with sugar. Bake at 350 degrees for 60 65 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool for 10 minutes before removing from pan. This bread freezes well.
