1 pkg dry lima beans(1lb or 15oz.)
1/2 lb. butter (2 sticks)
1 tsp. salt
3-4 tbsp. maple syrup
dash of pepper
dash of garlic salt
1/2 pt. sour cream

Directions:
Directions:
Soak the beans overnight. Drain and add fresh water and salt to taste. Cook until they burst, about one hour. Drain, then add your other ingredients. Bake uncovered 15 minutes. Then cover and bake 1 hour or so until tender.Bake at 350

This was one recipe we all loved especially if there were brown crusty areas. Mom always cooked in a baked bean crock.
