1/2 pound okra
1 cup cornmeal
1 Tbsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 cup buttermilk
vegetable oil

Directions:
Directions:
Trim okra and cut into 3/4-inch lengths. Soak in buttermilk for 15 minutes. Mix cornmeal, salt and pepper with the okra in a plastic bag and toss to coat. Heat oil over medium heat and add the okra. Stir gently until golden brown.
